Information Sharing

Sharing information can bring many benefits. It can support more efficient, easier to access services. It can help to make sure that the vulnerable are given the protection they need and that organisations can cooperate to deliver the care that those with complex needs rely on.

The various documents here set out a framework for the secure and confidential sharing of information between organisations, enabling them to meet the needs of people for care, protection and support in accordance with national and local policy and legislative requirements.

North East Lincolnshire CTP aim to:

  • Inform members of the community why information about them may need to be shared and how this sharing will be managed.
  • Set out the principles which underpin the exchange of information.
  • Identify the purposes for which these organisations have agreed to share information about individuals.
  • Describe the commitment they will make to manage the exchange of information between them, and their responsibilities to implement internal arrangements that will support those commitments.

You will find here the Community Charter which sets out the basic principles above, a range of locally drafted Information Sharing Protocols and a selection of National Guidance documents relating to Information Sharing.
