Cleethorpes Primary Care Centre opens to patients

North East Lincolnshire’s latest health centre, the Cleethorpes Primary Care Centre will open its doors to patients for the first time on Monday 10th December.

The brand new centre on St Hughes Avenue in Cleethorpes has been nearly three years in development and will be home to not only the newly named Beacon Medical practice, (formerly the Albert Road Surgery) but also chiropody and community dental services and a pharmacy. Work began on transforming the site of the previous Cleethorpes Clinic in 2006. The Cleethorpes Primary Care Centre is the seventh major scheme to be completed North East Lincolnshire since the start of the service remodelling programme in 2002.

Jane Lewington, Chief Executive of North East Lincolnshire CTP said: “This is the latest development in North East Lincolnshire CTP’s Estate Strategy. The strategy set out a vision of service users being able to access a broader range of primary care services easily and conveniently in modern, well designed premises and the Cleethorpes Primary Care Centre certainly lives up to this.

“It’s a fantastic new facility and will provide the people of the area with a high quality health care service as well as demonstrating the clear commitment the Care Trust Plus has to developing and providing some of the best health and social care services in the country.

” Patients from the old Albert road Surgery are being asked to note that the telephone number for The Beacon Medical will remain as 01472 691033. The surgery will be operating reduced services on Friday 7th December but will be open as usual in the new premises at 9am on Monday 10th December.
