North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus is reminding local people to ‘Choose Well’ when accessing medical treatment on bank holiday Monday, May 31, and make the most of non-emergency sources of medical help and advice.
By using non-emergency services where possible, people can choose the most appropriate services to ensure they receive the best access to advice and treatment.
A number of local pharmacies will be open on Monday. Pharmacists can provide advice on common illnesses and the best medicines to treat them. A full list of opening times can be found by searching for ‘pharmacy opening times’ at
www.nelctp.nhs.uk The out of hours GP service will be running as normal (open from 6.30pm, Friday, May 28 until 8am,Tuesday, June 1) and can be contacted on 0845 121 1188 if people need to access medical services on the bank holiday.
The new integrated out of hours response service (which replaced the Emergency Duty Team) will also be available should any urgent situations arise and can be reached on 0845 148 9043. The centre is open from 8am till 8pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year and is open to all local residents. The centre offers GP and nurse-led services to anyone who needs it and people do not need an appointment or be registered at the centre.
