Care Trust Plus Board appointment

North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus is pleased to announce that the Appointments Commission has confirmed the appointment of Mrs Susan Whitehouse to serve as a non-executive director on the CTP board and Chair of the Audit Committee.

Mrs Whitehouse currently works in a consultancy role with Postcomm, the independent regulator for postal services in the UK. Previously she has worked at a senior level with Audit Commission and several national lottery operators in the UK, South Africa, India and Nigeria.

North East Lincolnshire CTP is a new organisation that came in to being on 1 September 2007. Its role includes the commissioning and provision of health and social care for the area, with a particular focus on overall health improvement.

The appointment runs from 1 April 2008 until 31 March 2011 and has been made in full accordance with the OCPA Code of Practice. Mrs Whitehouse is entitled to a remuneration of £7,598 per annum as a non-executive director and £5,065 for her position as Audit Committee Chair.

All non-executive appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process. However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointee’s political activity (if any declared) to be made public. Mrs Whitehouse has no political activity or ministerial appointments in the past five years.

The Chairman, on behalf of the Care Trust Plus Board, welcomes the appointment of Susan Whitehouse, which completes the team of Non-Executives within the Board structure.
