Local residents are being urged to look out for an indispensable guide to local NHS and Adult Social Care Services being delivered through their door over the coming weeks.
Called ‘
Your Guide to Local Health & Adult Social Care Services 2008’, the magazine style document is a one-stop source of advice about the local NHS and social care services that are available. It will be delivered to households in the May edition of North East Lincolnshire Council’s ‘Link Up’ newspaper.
The guide has been produced by the Care Trust Plus and includes useful telephone numbers including emergency contact numbers, details of how to access services and lists of Nursing/Residential homes. Amongst other information, the guide also includes a fold out section at the back with a map of GP practices, pharmacies and other local services.
Welcoming the guide, Jane Lewington, Chief Executive of the CTP said:
“In order for people to make the most of local services they first need to know what services are available. The guide document has been designed to give this information in a user-friendly way”.
“We asked a wide range of patient, user and carer groups what information they wanted to see included and this has been built into the guide.”
People who have not received a copy of the Guide by 18th May or anyone who would like additional copies can contact the CTP on (01472) 302832.
The Guide is also available electronically at www.nelctp.nhs.uk/about/publications/
