Open Door Win Heal and Social Care Award

North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus (NELCTP) are proud to announce that the ‘Open Door’ service on Hainton Avenue and Freeman Street has won the regional Health and Social Care Award in Improving Health and Reducing Inequalities. 

Jane Lewington, Chief Executive of NELCTP said, 

“This award is well deserved recognition for the trail blazing work done by Open Door and the dedication of their hard working staff ”  

Lance Gardner, Director of Care for NELCTP said, 

“We are proud of our team’s commitment, hard work and proactive approach which have resulted in this outstanding achievement of winning the NHS Health & Social Care Award for Improving Health and Reducing Inequalities for the Yorkshire and Humber Region.” 

Maxine green, Medical Services Manager said of the award, 

“It is our clients who continue to inspire, support and grow with our service and the real achievement is the difference Open Door makes to their lives. This, of course, could not be realised without the support of our dedicated health and social care professionals and partner agencies.” 

Rob Baty, Social Care Manager for Open Door said, 

“We have to thank the NELCTP and the Directors for their innovation and inspiration in allowing this pioneering service to be founded.” 

This is the second year running that North East Lincolnshire  has won the award for Improving Health and Reducing Inequalities, with the Cancer Collaborative winning in 2008. 

The national finals will be held in London on July 8th in 2009.
