You can make an appointment with your practice for medical advice, examinations and prescriptions. GPs also provide an  out-of-hours service -  just ring your local health advice line on 01472 256 222 if you need to see a doctor outside normal 
opening hours.

Your local health advice line offers confidential advice and information over the telephone 24 hours a day, 365 days 
a year.

Contact them on 01472 256 222 if you are ill and have any questions about health or if you need to see a GP during evenings, night time or weekends. The service can also help you to find health services in your area.

Quayside Medical Centre open access sessions 

QMC open access sessions are open to everyone for the treatment of minor illnesses and injuries that do not need a visit to A&E. You do not need an appointment.

The Quayside Medical Centre is on Cleethorpe Road, next to the Grimsby Telegraph. Open access sessions run from 10am - 3pm 365 days a year. Opening hours for registered patients are 8am -6.30pm Mon to Fri and 10am - 3pm Sat and Sun.

Rapid Response Line for Health and Social Care

Rapid Response are a team of Nurses, Social Workers and Therapists who respond to health and social crises in the community. They also care for people and support their families during the end stages of life. The team is available 24 hours every day and  can be contacted on  01472 256 256. 

Any person in need or their friends, family or connected professionals may access this service.

A&E or 999


Accident and Emergency departments provide immediate emergency care for people who show the symptoms of serious illness or are badly injured.

Dial 999 if you think you need an ambulance. Emergency services are very busy. They should only be used in very serious or life-threatening situations. There is an A&E at the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scartho Road, Grimsby DN33 2BA.
