Staff Events August 26th

Thanks to all for the excellent turn out from Staff to two information and consultation sessions held on Thursday 26th August. In all, 150 people attended across the two sessions. Information was presented on the ‘Transforming Community Service’ (TCS) Process and what it means for mental health. These sessions followed on from a series of one to one discussions and small group discussions on TCS undertaken with external support from William Greenwood and colleagues from Hope Street Centre, which identified a wide range of views about the shape of future services. Watch this space for information on future sessions.

The events on the 26th focussed on information giving, debating the key values of the organisation, expressing hopes and concerns, and enabling questions.

Q&A

Click the ‘Questions and Answers’ page to see questions from the Staff events and others, and to post your own questions. As far as possible questions posted through this site will be answered with 48 hours.

Values

Values are at the heart of the whole process – defining what matters to us as an organisation will be one of the key criteria against which decisions are made. As a starter for 10 senior managers presented some ideas (Click here). Staff worked on defining values in groups to develop a long list of organisational values (Click here). There was a high level of agreement about what matters in mental health, we hope to set up a staff group to work on these to finalise a value statement for mental health services that we can all support. Watch this space for details and to express an interest.
