What are Personal Health Budgets?

The Department of Health introduced a Personal Health Budget Pilot Programme in January 2009, to be able to offer people a combined health and social care budget.

The aim of a Personal Health Budget is to give you even greater choice and control over your personal care package, by enabling you to develop a Health and Social Care Plan that considers all areas of your well-being, health care and social care needs.

The Care Trust Plus is a pilot site for testing the benefits that can be gained from offering Personal Health Budgets, to people needing health care and support in North East Lincolnshire.

We are at the early stages of developing Personal Health Budgets and will continue to keep you updated of this exciting opportunity.
